Blood sugars: Your blood sugar goes up and down in response to what you eat, how active you are, and how your body responds to each. When your blood sugar falls, your body's response is to stop releasing insulin (the hormone that makes your sugar fall), and release glucagon, a hormone that makes your blood sugar rise.
