Possibly: A fever blister will not travel to the eye to cause problems. But a "fever blister" or "cold sore" is caused by HSV (Herpes Simplex Virus) latent in the body. It activates at times of stress or low immunity to cause a cold sore on the lip or mouth, or to cause Herpetic Eye Disease, which commonly manifests on the surface of the eye but could affect the inside of the eye.
