When i press down, there is a sore spot right on the mandibular angle, no swelling or pain, what can this be?

Muscle: Not sure where you are pressing - outside --> in, on top of gums, ??. If outside, it may be a sore / spasmed muscle. There is a sling of muscle (MTM) which wraps around this area. Possibly you have aggravated it. If so, see your Dentist to evaluate the cause. Clenching and grinding are the primary causes, and an occlusal guard can be very helpful. Good Luck.
