Pt with itp. i wasn't aware of quinine effect & drank 18oz of tonic water w/quinine today. will this impact platelets? cbc count was at 100 last wk.

Different disease: ITP is different from quinine induced or other drug induced immune thrombocytopenia, first don't drink any more of the tonic water that has quinine, just observe yourself for any bruises, don't exert physical effort for now, call your doctor for reassurance, good luck
