Unlikely to be MS: You can discuss this with your physician but MS has neurological findings. People with fibromyalgia can have shooting pains but these are paresthesias and not MS. treat fibro you need attention to exercise, stress control and sleep evaluation. The meds help to a degree but a lot depends on your input also.

UNLIKELY: MS is very different from fibromyalgia, but diffuse pain which can mimic fibromyalgia could be due to a small fiber neuropathy. If your meds are not effective, might try to explore the latter possibility.
