See your PCP: Sleep problems can be caused by various factors not necessary MS or FM. See your PCP for proper diagnosis, tests and treatment or referral to a sleep specialist for sleep study.

Worth looking into: There is a strong association between lack of REM sleep and fibromyalgia. Some sleep aids and chloride channel drugs in general tend to disrupt normal REM sleep and promote fibromyalgia. Its worth having a good general medical exam first. Review and practice good sleep hygiene. Treat pain with medications that promote REM sleep (Lyrica (pregabalin) and Pamelor). See a sleep specialist if needed.

Comments: Fibromyalgia can certainly be associated with sleep disorder, but MS also can have sleep co-morbidities. Yet, anxiety and depression may affect sleep, as well as numerous medications, drugs, and alcohol.
