Athletes foot: You could be suffering from tinea pedis, more commonly known as Athlete's feet. Fungus, which is the cause of Athlete's feet, tend to grow in a dark, damp place which is the environment of a foot in a shoe. The feet perspire, and most people wear shoes sometimes in excess of 8-10 hours a day. This allows ample time for any fungus to grow and infect the foot, especially between the toes.
