Fungus: Sounds like a form of fungus/athletes foot. Try anti-fungal cream. If get if this does not help or if it gets worse. See podiatrist. Try to minimize excessive perspiration or moisture in area.

Protein: Being a vegetarian is not a problem in pregnancy as long as they are not carboterians. Good vegetarians should have good proteins from legumes, lentils, beans, nuts/seeds, avocados, tofu/tempeh, setan multiple times per day, 7-9 servings of fruits/veggies and whole grains. You only need to eat an additionally 250-300cal/day in pregnancy for the baby to grow!

A lump : Is not normal, nor is pain so it's a good reason to visit the foot doctor. You may have a ganglionic cyst which is a benign cyst filled with jelly like fluid but without seeing it you can have something else....Go to the doc for a check up.

Yes: Certain materials may not absorb sweat and may give off a bad odor. Also if the shoe doesn't "breathe".
