Fat content: A yellow tinge to the color us simply a sign that there is an adequate amount of milkfat in the milk, it's good to have a higher fat content or creamatocrit for more calories

BREAST MILK: The breastmilk in their refrigerator looks blue, yellow,or brown and wonder if something is wrong. That is normal: breastmilk can vary in color depending on the foods you eat. It is also normal for breastmilk to separate,so that the fatty part rises to the top,,gently tilt the bottle back and forth, and the fat will go back into the milk. thawed milk can be refrig for 24 hrs,but not refrozen

From the fat: The yellow color is from the fat content of the milk. Good breast milk has a high fat content, and it may separate out a bit when frozen, so there is a yellow looking part of the milk. It is not only safe, it is an excellent sample with lots of good milk fat for the baby to gain weight and grow brain cells with. Make sure you gently swirl the sample before feeding it to the baby to mix it ...
