Possible: If you are sexually active, then this is possible. IUD's are very successful at preventing pregnancy but nothing is 100%. However there are other medical conditions that could be giving you these symptoms. Follow up with a primary care doctor or ob/gyn

Yes but not likely.: Your ParaGard is a highly effective way to prevent pregnancy and has a very low failure rate. Unfortunately it can be displaced, lose some of its effectiveness, be expelled or fail though quite rarely. If you are very concerned, check your blood pregnancy test. There may be transient causes for your symptoms which may be due to ovulation or hormonal changes that have nothing to do with the IUD.
