Tubes: Tubes are placed to help the ear fluid drain and to improve hearing and to prevent other infections. If you can get this cleared by another treatment, that would be great. Make sure tubes are in place no longer than 2 years to ensure healing of the ear drum. Occasionally these sites do not heal. All the best.
