Vitamin C: I recommend people get their Vitamin C from foods- berries, citrus, etc. Oral vitamin C is very safe, so if someone wants to supplement it I won't try to talk them out of it. Usual doses are 500 to 1000mg taken once or twice daily. If too much Vitamin C is taken orally it will harmlessly cause loose stools.
