Had a recent CBC. WBC 9.9. RBC 5.49. My platelet count was 253 (140-400). Dr. said I may be was a little dehydrated cause hard to find a vein. Does dehydration affect platelet count a lot? What would my platelet count be if I was better hydrated?
Are these "out of range" CBC numbers normal or cause for concern/alarm? Auto WBC 11.4(H), RBC 5.20, Hgb 12.1, Hematocrit 38.8, MCV 74.6(L), MCH 23.3(L), MCHC 31.2(L), RDW 18.3(H), Platelet Count 426(H). Would further investigation be advised?
