Unknown: Your dentist felt that the Vivera retainers were best for your specific treatment, but you feel otherwise. You'll have to discuss your desires with them. If it is agreed that a fixed lingual wire will work equally as well for your post treatment retention, then I'm sure it can be placed for a nominal fee.

Yes, but: if you are in retention phase and have been for several weeks you should only need to wear them at night (during sleeping hours).

Pros and cons: There are pros and cons to every type of retainer. Some are more retentive, or more esthetic, r more functional, than others.
