A member asked:

I sometimes have severe stomach pains, could an ultrasound help determine what the problem may be?

Maybe helpful: Depending on the location, an abdominal ultrasound can be helfpul- typically more so for liver or kidneys rather than the stomach. If a problem in the stomach or intestines is thought the cause, then an abdominal CT scan or an upper scope (EGD) could possibly be helpful.
