A member asked:

Is any amount of edema normal in a non-pregnant person (trace to obvious)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It depends...: Hello there, There are some instances in which just by an increased amount of sodium in diet you can retain fluid and it shows as edema. However if there is any other medical problems associated (i.e. Hypertension). You may want to see your provider for further evaluation and advice. Take care.
