What are some impotant and good ideas to help my dad with his hypotension?

Hypotension: First would be to avoid meds than can cause low blood pressure either through direct effect or as a side effect. Second stay well hydrated. Third would be to avoid falls when changing position, specifically from sitting down to standing up to take time and sit back down if lightheaded. Ideally a possible cause for his hypotension should be sought and a therapeutic trial may help.
