Left Side Pain: When was the last time you had a bowel movement? Constipation is the most common cause of left sided pain. Having a good BM may help. Also muscle strain can cause left sided pain. If you have not noticed blood in your urine, a less common cause is kidney stones. If you have not had any trauma to that side of your abdomen, spleen injury is also less likely. Rest fluids and Advil (ibuprofen) may help.
