No: it realy depends on your plan to have children.if you no longer wishes to have children you should not take any risk with hormonal treatment,and choose surgical option.if you are planning to have more children,then you conservative,medical,hormonal treatment is the only option,in spite of your family history.discuss your options with your GYN.
