A member asked:

I have high iron levels (not hemochromatosis), can i take spirulina supplement? as it says it has 30x the iron of spinach.

Go right ahead: The iron in spinach isn't bioavailable anyway. I think you're wasting your money on this dried pond scum, but others here may disagree. A high serum iron may be transient following taking a vitamin pill or eating a steak. No supplement will help you as much as working hard to get really physically fit, especially at this time in your life. Follow your labs & find an evidence-based holist. Cheers.

Why?: Why do you want to take iron supplement with high iron levels. Excess iron is toxic to cells, with or without hemochromatosis.
