I go for phlebotomy tomorrow for hemochromatosis. Since Im not supposed to have Vit C what do I drink or eat after blood draw to not feel woozy? Even protein bars are not allowed? Because they contain 10% iron? Im so confused. A pint will be took.
I have hereditary hemachromatosis. Recent iron panel TIBC 295, UIBC 196, iron 99, iron sat 34% serum ferritin 47 Last phlebotomy was 3 mo ago. Do these numbers mean maintenance? Or is saturation still to high?
