Fluid and fiber: When u avoid carbs u do not get the type of carb known as "fiber" that is so important 4 soft bowel movements. Fiber holds the water in ur colon and keeps the stool soft. U can increase the fiber in ur diet without increasing carbs by supplementing with psyllium husk or other bulk laxative and then drinking lots of fluid . Take high fiber nuts, broccoli etc for your allowd carbs each day.

Fresh veggies: Fresh veggies are low in carbohydrates and high in fiber, with adequate fluid intake, you should not get constipated. It depends on the type of carb and the amount of fiber. Alot of processed carbs are stripped of their fiber and contribute to constipation.
