What is clinical pathology?

Clinical Pathology: Also known as laboratory medicine, clinical pathology is the discipline of selecting appropriate methods of testing for all the clinical areas of medicine, including clinical chemistry, hematology, bacteriology and virology, the blood bank, immunology and other areas. On-going monitoring, reference ranges, training and interpretation are also involved. Guiding test use properly is another key act.
