Talk to doctor: Pathology reports are written for a physician audience so they are usually difficult for a patient to understand. It is best to ask your physician for any clarification on the report so that they can explain it to you in the context of your case. It is also many times an option to contact the pathologist directly if you still have questions.

Carefully: Pathology reports contain a variety of complex data. The reports often convey a variety of complex data in a minimal amount of text, much the same way that a single pathology slide conveys countless data to the pathologist. If you still have questions regarding a pathology report that your surgeon, oncologist, or other clinical cannot answer, it's possible to reach out to the pathologist direct.
