What is the lower pole region on a ct scan?

"Pole": is not a region on a CT scan. It is sometimes used to reference individual organs on an imaging study, usually the kidneys or thyroid due to their oblong shape. Lower pole means the lower part of the organ(towards the feet), upper pole means the end of the organ pointing towards your head.
