Stress fx 3rd met.- not healed after 9 mths (orif, bg 4 mths ago). still swells, some pain and redness. seeing dr 4 weeks- another surgery necessary?

Non-union: We are not sure why they occur so we cannot predict how they will heal. Sorry. I, too, am a runner. Magnetic induction may help. You are not obese. Get a DEXA scan and try Rx for that if positive. If everything fails try use in a more supportive foot wear. We runners know "It's only pain." Be sure your doc is an orthopedist. Aussie docs are better trained thanAussie podiatrists. Luck.
