What does it mean if there's thickening with linear hyperintensities of the acl and high grade intrasubstance acl/pcl injury?

Hard to say.: It could represent a sprained knee. It sounds like you're reading off an MRI report. If you did have an MRI, see a sports medicine orthopedic knee specialist, who can review the MRI and sort out all the information.

Possible tear: The concern is that you may have torn your ACL and PCL ligaments, which are major stabilizers of the knee. I would be seen by an orthopedic surgeon. An exam can help determine how stable your knee is. The surgeon can review your MRI with you and discuss treatment options.
