Orthopedic surgeons: Acl reconstructions are often performed by general orthopedic surgeons. Sports medicine orthopedic specialists tend to perform higher volumes of acl reconstructions. Pcl reconstructions are generally performed by sports medicine orthopedic specialists at tertiary care or university settings. This is not always the case since i perform a large number of PCL reconstructions in a private setting.
