How long does it normally take to fully recover from an acl and pcl tear?

Up to a year: An acl and PCL combined injury represents a significant trauma to the knee. Even after reconstruction of both ligaments, the knee may not function normally again. With a successful acl/pcl reconstruction, and adequate rehabilitation, many patients can return to function in 8-10 months. Returning to the same level of activity or sports is variable, however.

Acl and pcl: If you have both it will often take a full year or slightly more to recover.
