A member asked:

Does chewing sugarless gum really help prevent cavities?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sugarless gum: Chewing gum after eating will help increase saliva and bring the ph of your mouth back to normal quicker. Studies have shown that xylitol will decrease cavities because it reduces decay causing bacteria in you mouth. So I would recommend chewing Xylitol gum for the best result.
