Next step: If not from fluid build-up in the middle ear or infection, could be as simple as ear wax build-up. Check out otc ear wax remover solution from local drug store as this is safer option compared to Q-tip.

?Wax: See a dr. And you will have an answer as easy as it is to have them look into your ear with an otiscope. You may have wax that can be easily removed, an infection that can be treated, or congestion that could be alleviated. These are just a few possiblities. See dr to be sure. Good luck.

Check BP: If your blood pressure is normal, it's probably ok. We have blood vessels in our head that are supposed to pulsate. Could be wax plugging your ear. If it goes away when you are busy doing things or feeling more relaxed, that would be a good sign.

Eustation tube: Ear to throat tube may have some extra fluid or congestion . This sound is created when one chews ( the jaw is connected to the throat is connected to the ear ).Not to worry if no pain/discharge. Also , could be fluid, water, wax in ear( gone swimming lately?).

Best to see MD: It is best to see your doctor to evaluate the wax . If it is easy to remove, they can irrigate it, or soften it first then do that or if needed the ENT can suction out the wax. Don't use qtip as it would push it against the tympanic membrane.
