Concussion: Concussion is also called mild traumatic brain injury. It is a transient loss of brain function after injury, often with a loss of consciousness. Symptoms can include headache, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, cognitive changes or confusion, but no structural changes are seen in the brain on CT, MRI or at autopsy. Medical evaluation by an experienced physician or healthcare provider is recommended.
