Several causes: Foot pain can be caused by diabetes, low back injuries, toxic metals, poor circulation, etc. In traditional chinese medicine, the liver is often prioritized for evaluation and treatment. I have found that foot pain from liver sources often are worse when getting up from bed and then subside.
