Miscarriage: If you missed a period and you usually have regular periods, it's possible that you could have been pregnant and are passing the pregnancy (a spontaneous abortion or very early miscarriage). This is not something to worry about unless you're having severe bleeding/pain/fevers. Pregnancy loss occurs in 20% of pregnancies.

Call your physician: Your symptoms suggest a miscarriage. Call and speak to your Dr. today for advice. If your bleeding is heavy go to the ER now. About 1 out of 7 recognized pregnancies end with a miscarriage. The vast majority of women with a miscarriage go on to have a subsequent successful pregnancy.
