BC interference.: Antibiotics that have been shown to interact with birth control pills include rifampin, and to a lesser extent, penicillin, amoxicillin, ampicillin, sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim, tetracycline, minocycline, metronidazole and nitrofurantoin. Check with your pharmacist for this interaction.
