Could be: An echocardiogram looks at cardiac structure and function, not specifically rhythm. There are cardiac abnormalities that make one more prone to cardiac arrhythmias. But your echo gave no clues. There are tests that can specifically look for arrhythmias that arevsimole to obtain. Discuss these with your doctor.

Could still be: If you did not feel the palpitations they still could be Afib. The better test to pick it up would be holter event monitor. Discuss it with your doctor
