I tested positive for hsv1 at 62.20 high it says, but i haven't had a coldsore since elementary school, is this an old or new infection?

Probably old: All that can be said from this test result is that you have been infected with HSV1 for at least several weeks. The number itself says nothing about how long, and it could be since childhood. If your cold sores all those years ago were typical oral herpes -- i.e. blister-like sores on the outside of the mouth, not canker sores inside -- you can safely assume it explains your positive test.
