Peptic ulcer: If you have been diagnosed as having a peptic ulcer, you should take your ranitidine as directed by your doctor to help it heal. If you are taking ranitidine on your own for a presumed peptic ulcer, instead, though, you should see your doctor if you do not achieve symptom relief within 2 to 3 weeks. Good luck.
