A member asked:

I have a peptic ulcer and i am taking ranitidine for it. what kind of diet should i have? can i eat what i usually eat?

Diet with ulcer: Diet isn't as important to ulcer care as we once thought it was. Obviously it's best to avoid alcohol or medicines like aspirin, ibuprofen, or aleve (naproxen) but other than that your diet normally is not much of a factor. You might ask your doctor if you were tested for H. Pylori - an infection now proven to be the cause of most ulcers.
