See a GI doctor: This is an unusual effect of GB surgery. You should see a gastroenterologist for evaluation.

Agree with Dr Brady: You need to have this evaluated because without knowing more about the cause, could be a problem that persists with serious long term effects. Sounds like you may have gastritis, or mucosal irritation of the lining of the stomach. If the pain pills are NSAIDS, try to avoid these for awhile. Tylenol (acetaminophen) may be an alternative if no contraindications for you. Pamprin can also cause this.
