Hi. i have been on enalapril and hct for 5 years. i went to doctor yesterday.she took me off. how do i wean off safely.

Stopping meds: Both enalapril and HCTZ (hydrochlorothiazide) usually do not require weaning as long as your blood pressure remains normal after the medications are discontinued. I would recommend you check your BP 2-3 times a day for a week after stopping the meds and touch base with your physician.
