Repeat dose: If child vomits withing 30 minutes of medicine, it should be repeated as a general rule, especially an antibiotic, which has a specific course and interval between doses. It helps to maintain good level of antibiotic in the body to kill the germs that may be causing the illness.

Best to redose: Because of the way cefdinir works and because it is not known to be very toxic, it would be best to redose. Either way, be sure to involve the prescribing doctor as soon as possible. Depending on the type and severity of infection, s/he may decide to add additional doses/days of therapy.
