A member asked:

Why do my burps get temporarily stuck halfway through my throat?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The burp pathway: When you burp, gas goes from your stomach, up the esophagus, through the hypopharynx, to the oropharynx, and out your mouth. It is possible that the gas is simply being trapped in the hypopharynx.
