CBT or Behavior Tx: I'd try to find a good match psychotherapist you trust and work well with. It can take time, but then you can discover ways to challenge the habit and understand what role it played so that you can make sure you find acceptable ways to meet your needs - they matter. Anxiety control will help - start w/ safety/legality focus - your wellbeing matters!
