Depends : If your child was diagnosed as having strep by a culture or rapid screen, and is on a penicillin or amoxicillin antibiotic, consider waiting 24 to 48 more hours before being too worried. If diagnosed by speculation only, and on antibiotics for three days, still fevering, seek medical attention because it may be something other than strep and the child may need a higher dose or a different med.
