Determine the cause: If consistent with "restless leg syndrome", then bedtime drug therapy might be helpful. Excluding Ca/Mg, potassium & muscle disorders should be excluded, often seen with diuretic agents, chronic malabsorption (often w/diarrhea), & sometimes statins. Bilateral symptoms rarely indicate sciatica or related spinal conditions.
