What is the difference between a sleeve gastrectomy and a gastric plication?

Permanence: Both procedures basically make the shape of the stomach a rigid, skinny tube. The sleeve however actually removes the excluded portion of the stomach, whereas the plication just compartmentalizes it, making it more prone to long term opening back to a normal stomach. Hope this helps!
