How can you properly care for a circumcised newborn?

Circumcision care: I recommend applying bacitracin for the first couple of days after the circumcision, and then a liberal amount of either vaseline or A&D ointment to the foreskin around the head of the penis with each diaper change for another couple of weeks. This will help prevent adhesions from forming. In general, frequent diaper changes are a good idea to avoid prolonged contact with urine and stool.
