Probably: Circumcision should always be done with anesthesia-usually a local injected nerve block. Even so, it is a stress for the baby; there may be bleeding, which is not likely, but severe blood loss might make the situation more severe. A few pvc's, however, can be normal. If your dr is in doubt, she could delay the circ until after evaluation by a pediatric cardiologist--but not beyond 2-3 wks of age.
