SI Jt Dx Frustration: Sorry that you are frustrated. What dx did your ortho surgeon give you? Sometimes the L5/S1 facet joint can cause overlapping pain into the butt and hip. Ortho surgeons are highly capable of eval, tx, &dx of SI jt pain just like PMR (me), PCPs, etc.. Did you have a SI Jt Inj with Kenalog (triamcinolone) or for another jt? Was it done under ultrasound or x-ray guidance? Guidance yields the best results.
